Mini Rec CenterOver the last several months you may have noted that our Parks & Recreation Department has offered significantly more recreational activities for residents. We have some exciting activities planned for Winter & Spring. The City Council has invested in new software to make signing up for an activity an easy process. To help you plan ahead; you will soon receive the first edition of the Parks & Recreation Activities Guide in your mailbox. Thank you to the work by our Parks & Recreation Superintendent Stacy Heiliger to help bring this together. You can now plan ahead to take advantage of upcoming activities. Yet this now leads us to a known obstacle. We wish to add even more activities, but we are constrained because we don’t have dedicated space. At the Monday night Parks & Recreation Board Meeting, we will be discussing pathways to create and open a Mini-Recreation Center within the next year without raising taxes. Such a dedicated space would enable the City to continue to grow recreational programs for all ages. Come join us, or watch on the City’s YouTube Channel to learn more.www.cityofharvard.org/bc-prb/meeting/park-board-meeting-73 ... See MoreSee Less
